Hi

Yes, Siemens does provide placement assistance all over India. Once you clear the exam, they send your profile to all Siemens centres across India for better chances at various openings.

But they do not guarantee it. It alot depends on your experience and also your interview performances.

As of now, you should concentrate on the course and certification only.

Get more info from your local Siemens centre ... they are very supportive and helpful.

All the best !!

Now FI and CO are two different module as far as training is concerned.

Market is already filled hundreds of SAP FI consultants (still many struggling to get a job).

Please let us know your education, experience and domain knowledge etc., to suggest you better.

Kind Regards,

Ravi

Dear Sajjan,

I am surprised, being a HR recruitment special you are asking such questions.

You should aware no SAP Consultant in India would get a package of 40 Lakhs.

What would expect out of SAP Training, would it increase your salary from 15 Lakhs to 40 Lakhs for few hours of your training.

The reality is getting a job in SAP after training is not that easy. It is a test for your perseverance. To be honest, if you join SAP being a fresher, you may get a demoted salary of 5 lakhs from your 15 lakhs. Nobody will give you 15 lakhs salary as a fresh SAP consultant, whatever your previous position was.

To get a 15 lakhs of salary as an SAP Consultant, you should have 10 years of solid SAP experience.

SAP is not a means of doubling your salary. If you are looking a way to double your salary through SAP, then it is not the right place. Here, your attitude matter, forget about money, try to learn SAP 24/7 - 365 days.

Hope this helps.

Kind Regards,

Ravi

Being a HR person, do you offer more than 50% hike from their existing CTC for a person who applied with your firm ?  Unfortunately, the reality would be even if you get an opening in SAP, your CTC would only be in par with other junior resources which means, you would get one third of your current CTC.

Hello,

I have 3 years experience  in major private banks , post qualification  (M.com banking & finance) . I am thinking to go for SAP.

I heard that FICO would be good for me. Is that true?

If so, do I need to have a certification. If yes from where?

If no, where do I go for just training.

Please advise...

Hi Swapna,

As you are Chartered Accountant, FICO is good fit for you for sure.

I advice to go for training first other than certification. After few years of experience it's good to go for certification I think.

Thanks

When I went to SEM training way back in 2005 (it was first SEM batch unfortunately), it was real pathetic.

But, fortunately, passed the exam with lot of hard work.

Otherwise, the training I received was drastic. I can go for a bollywood movie with all the hopeless things.

I am really not sure about ABAP, since there could be lot of trainers available in the market.

Take wise decision before going and investing lot of amount in lakhs.

Ravi

I think Vishwa is correct too. Take an informed decision. Talk to as many people / candidates around you before investing.

All the best!

Hi

Getting certified is not the problem, but check the opportunitites outside for Freshers who are SAP Certified. The market for experienced people itself is not really good at the moment, it is still picking up, so before investing so much money just check what are the opportunities after the certification. Siemens and All other institutes will offer Moon just to make money, but how far they fullfill what they promise is something you need to check with.

The market right now is really not that fetching for freshers though you are certified.

If you are confident of grabbing a job, based on the assistance Siemens provides(If at all It provides any CONCRETE assistance),then go ahead and join the course. I know guys who are certified and have no experience for which they had to wait lot of time to get a decent job.

My opinion and Zubin's will differ, but there are always two sides of a coin.

Vishwa.
