Hello,

Wanted to know what does partial download mean ? i was trying to download PI from smp and SAP download manager status for certial components is : partial download?

Download is not complete. Check the downloaded file size.

One reason may be you do not have authorization to download and it tried to download. In that case staus appears Partial Download.

So does partial download help ?

i mean next time when i resume download will it take less time since it has been partially downloaded or does it imply download will start again?

Your download should resume from where its left . It shouldnt start from the beginning.

As a check you can go to the download directory and see whether the partial files exists.
