PM Gurus,

I have created an equipment for PM implementation. For procurement purpose the same equipment needs to have material master data. So can any one clarify the views to be maintained for a material (equipment: PRT type).

maintain that equipment as FHMI material.

maintain basic, prt, purchasing , accounting costing views for it.

Hi,

Normally the equipment procured under capital item.

For example if you create equipment in PM master,its not necessary to create as the material in the MM.

Whenever the equipment is required you can procure as capital item with text or sometime with material code under material type Capital item.

Intially it will procured with capital item with the asset number & capitalize the same after install in the system.
