PSE Creation Problem.

Hi,

I deleted old system PSE after the system refresh and now when I am trying to create the new one, I am getting the error in creating the new PSE in t-code STRUST. The system is BI 7.0 on WIN2008 server.

I have already tried with System restart after deletion of tmp files in /usr/sap/<SID>/DV*/sec, Tried to create the new PSE, Tried to put old PSE and replace it with the new SID etc... but none of them worked.

Could you please suggest, how do I go on this?

Thanks

Abhishek

Please check the following parameters

ssf/name SAPSECULIB

ssf/ssfapi_lib d:\usr\sap\<SID>\sys\exe\uc\NTAMD64\sapsecu.dll

sec/libsapsecu d:\usr\sap\<SID>\SYS\exe\uc\NTAMD64\sapsecin.exe <---

The program 'sapsecin.exe' is only useful in certain situations (for

example for error analysis) and can be ignored in the standard

installation.

So, please change 'sec/libsapsecu' to

"d:\usr\sap\<SBD>\sys\exe\uc\NTAMD64\sapsecu.dll" as well and try

STRUSTSSO2 again.

Hi Jobit joy,

I changed the following parameters as you said and now everything is OK !

ssf/name SAPSECULIB

ssf/ssfapi_lib d:\usr\sap\<SID>\sys\exe\uc\NTAMD64\sapsecu.dll

sec/libsapsecu d:\usr\sap\<SID>\SYS\exe\uc\NTAMD64\sapsecu.dll

Your answer was very helpful !!!

Thanks !

Damien.

Simply go to STRUSTSSO2 -> Right click on System PSE -> Delete then Right-click on System PSE -> Create.

That should do the trick

Hi Abhi,

Backup and Delete all the files from sec directory except LASVerify.pse,SAPSYS.pse and ticket.

i.e Delete the Cryptographic library files.

Restart the system.

Follow the steps freshly to configure the PSE. i.e copy the latest cryptographic library and then try creating the PSE.

Probably this would work

Cheers.....,

Hi Abhi,

Have you tried this ?

Delete the cryptographic library file from exe folder. Restart the system. i.e delete the sapcrypto.dll file from exe directory and also from DVEBMGS<xx> directory (if exists).

Then restart the system. Copy the library again. Then restart again.

Cheers....,

Raghu

Hi,

Have you checked the environment variables and instance profiles? Verify the paths defined in the variables. Are there any errors in the system log? It happened to me once, it turned out to be a typo in an environet variable.

Hi Abhi,

Please post the error.

Can you please elaborate on what you are trying to accomplish here because you deleted the old one, then creating a new one and replacing with old PSE....

Cheers......,

Hi Raghu,

As I stated earlier in the older post, that after a system refresh it is required to replace old<SID> PSE with new<SID> PSE. I deleted the old<SID> PSE from the system. Now when I am trying to create the new PSE, I am just getting a one line of error i.e. "Error while creating the PSE".

I just mentioned possible scenarios using which I tried to rectify the error like either by creating new one or by some other method.

Hope this would be clear now...

Thanx

Abhi
