Can anyone tell me how to assign a service order back to a notification once the link has been broken. If I go through the menu path Notification>Service Order>Assign, I get an error message because an order already exists.
Thanks
Paul
Hi Paul
Please check again if the assignment of the order is deleted earlier or not.Because if the notification is released (put to progress) then the assignment can not be deleted and so new assignment is also not possible. This seems to be happening in your case

you are correct but...I cannot recreate the problem in our quality control system because as you say once the notification is released unassignment is not allowed. However I have an order which is linked to a notification, I can see this in the order itself and in table AFIH but there is no view of the order in the notification and it is not in table QMEL.
I have only one example in our production system so dare I say this sounds like a one off although I don't like the unexplained.

Paul
