Hello!
We use Visual Composer 7.1.
Is it possible to transfer Visual Composer models to the Shared Repository without DTR or NWDI?
Thanks, Thomas
Hi Thomas,
Yes, it is possible.
If you do not have a source control system installed and configured to work with Visual Composer, a Shared repository is provided by default.
The Shared repository provides basic check-in and check-out functionality (without version control) for models stored in a shared location.

Hello Talia!
Thank you for your information.
How is the way to transfer components from the Local Repository to the Shared Repository?
In the moment we have no possibility to do that.
Is there anywhere a tutorial for the configuration of the visual composer so we can use the Shared repository?
Thomas
Hi Thomas,
The way to transfer components from the Local Repository to the Shared Repository is the same as the way to work with DTR.
(right click on the model/DC in the Local Repository --> add to source control)
Just to avoid confusion in terminology, "source control" is the general definition. Both DTR and Shared Repository can be source control, depends on system's configuration.
In your case, Shared Repository serves as source control.

Hello Talia!
Many thanks for your information!!!
I hope it will help me.
The problem is, when we try to transfer from local to shared, we get an popup.
In this popup we need 4 informations:
1. model
2. software component
3. development component
4. activity description
In the fiels development component we have no choice!
I think that is the resaon that we could not finish the this step.

Hi Thomas,
In this case you can add the entire DC to the Shared Repository.
Right click on the DC and choose "Add to Source Control".
If you try to add a model (and not the DC), you should have a DC in the Shared Repository already. This can only be done if you create a DC in the Local Repository and then add it to source control.
Best regards,
Tal.
