How to manually back up transaction logs?

procedure to manually backup transaction logs

Open Management Studio (or Enterprise manager) select your database.. right click..backup....you will get one scree with the options...full backup,differential backup and transaction log backup.select transaction log backup and select the path (where the backup file to be create)

You should configure the maintenance plan for the log file.Check the blow link.
