Hello, I have a question about modifying data within the SAP production client.
Does the production client have to 'open' in order to make changes to pricing conditions through VK12?
Furthermore, is there a document or procedure that can show me which objects need to be transported to prod from another client and which can be modified directly in production?
Thank you,

Hi,
Are you talking abt Master Data or config'.
i dont think any company would allow to make changes in config directly in production client, and if its Master data and i think VK12 is for Master Data and you should be able to make changes in production client, but i would wait on other's opinion also on this
Thanks,
Vijay

I have not worked on any project where VK12 requires production client to be open.
As Vijay said, VK12 is master data and it is very common for some people to be able to maintain conditions as part of operational business.
I am not aware of any document or procedure that tells you the status for all objects. I am sure that you would get most of the data through SE84, though someone with better knowledge than me will chip in soon.

Then the answer is "No", unless there are tables involved which have been incorrectly classified.
For your second question, you can do a simple search. Keep your eye out for the term "SOBJ".
Cheers,
