material at one rupee rate

Hi ALL,

we have a requirement like a material is operated as a scheme where in for a certain period the material price is Rs 1 and a specfic quantity is also fixed for each customer.

How to may this process.Can it be with quantity contracts but where would the system know that particular material is to be picked at RS 1 value.

please suggest

If you want the Material to be sold at Re.1 for all the Customers, then maintain a Condition record for the time period you want it to be given. If the rate has to be given to only a few of the Customers, then you can maintain Customer Material Info Record, or a VK11 for the combination of Customer and Material for the required time period.

Venkat i have a query for you as you suggested if we maitain the customer material info where would the price be maintained.

To elaborate the scenario for further understanding we have say materilal A for which we have maintained the price as 100 and in the same period if the material price is maintained for the customer/material combination as 1 rupee which is in regular sale.

So please suggest if a sales order is created how would system react and what material price the system would propose.

To my knowledge the priority for the price detrmination will be like this:

Customer - Material Info record and then the othe rprices..

Price Procedure is determined in Sales Order based on Sales Area (Sales Org. + distribution Ch. + division) + Customer Pricing Procedure + Document Pricing Procedure.

Pricing is determined for Condition Type based on Condition Record maintained for relevant Access (Table) in Access Sequence.

It is not prioritized based on Customer Material Info Record. It is based on condition record maintained and how pricing is designed.

thnaks for the clarification.

How to map the required scenario? if its not through customer material info.And as asked earlier even if the cust mat info has been mainatined,from where will the ystem pick up the ruppe 1 value. As during the same period the price of the same material will also be maintained in the condition records.

we have maintained condition records under sales org,price grp and material combination.we have also a customer material combination also.and if we maintain as said earlier this combination of the rupee 1 scenario.wat would the sytem propose was my question.

Hi AJ

Don't get confused.

Your requirement is for customer A,B and C price would be Re 1, For material X, for 15.12.2009 to 15.02.2010???

Solution:

Create new condition table, including "Customer + Material".

Assign it to your condition type with minimum step number in access sequence. say 01. (IMP: Make it EXCULSIVE)

Now maintain condition records A+X = Re1 for 15.12.2009 to 15.02.2010

B+X = Re1 for 15.12.2009 to 15.02.2010

C+X = Re1 for 15.12.2009 to 15.02.2010

As you have made this EXCLUSIVE system will fetch Re 1 for Customer + Material combination.

Hi,

In condition record maintain valid from valid to date.so that rate will be applicable for perticular period.
