Hi All,
I have 2 scenarios:
1. R/3 to PI -- Idoc sent from R/3 to PI -- How will XI send an acknowledgement back to R/3 .
2. File to Idoc With acknowledgement - -How it is possible
Regards
Hi,
Idoc Ack:
Set the parameter ALEAUD message type in tx: we20 partner profile.
Use the table idxnoale or the report idx_noale to enable or disable Ack for a particular idoc type.

Hi Rachit,
just configure the ALEAUD message type in R3 partner profile and idx_noale in PI.

Hi,
Select the partner profile created for the PI system in your R/3 and configure the ALEAUD as the inbound parameter...
and configure the needed function module for processing the ALEAUD ..you can take the help option for setting the module for processing the inbound idoc...(ALEAUD)..while configuring make sure the parameters like Partner type and others will exactly match with the idoc sender details...otherwise an error will occur (Error code 56)
For generating idocs in PI ..no need to configure anything in report idx_noale by default an idoc (ALEAUD) will generate for the recieved idoc...provided selected the option not to generate in PI...
all you need to do is to configure the communication channel as receiver for sending back the acknowledgement to the sender...
if still not clear check the above links..which have more details...

1. R/3 to PI -- Idoc sent from R/3 to PI -- How will XI send an acknowledgement back to R/3
So should PI send ack to R3 saying that the IDOC has reached till PI (not travelled to receiver)?
In this while configuring Receiver Determination include the R3 system as receiver....R3 will be sender as well as receiver (alongwith the actual receiver)
Now maintain separate set of Interface determination, Receiver Agreement, Receiver Channel configuring R3 as both sender and receiver......the interface that you want to send will depend on your requirement.
2. File to Idoc With acknowledgement - -How it is possible
Have another scenario configured from IDOC to File which will just send the acknowledgement.

Abhishek.
