I am doing the Functional assesment of Delta functionality in upgrading from 4.7 to ECC 6.0 ( Technical upgrade only) . I have come to understand in SAP site that Rebate scales has been improved. Please find below the statments

Release Available :SAP ERP 6.0

SAP ERP Solution Area: Sales and Service

Module(s): SD/LES

Delta Functionality : Rebate condition records with the use of scales With the SAP ERP application.

Functionality Description:you can set up rebate agreements so that the scale base value and the rebate scale level

are derived from the total sales volume of multiple condition records.

You do this by grouping condition records in the rebate agreement.

Business Benefits: This functionality improves use of scales for rebate agreements.

Is there any body who can explain this concept with an example. I have also seen an Business thread on this but it not detailing about this functionality with an example.

Thanks and regards

Hi Balachandar

The only thing that has changed in rebates in ECC 6.0 is in the conditions screen of the rebate agreement. If you compare both the releases then you would find that there is a new column called scale group, which was not there in ECC 4.7. To put it in an example, lets say you enter into a rebate agreement with a customer for Chocolate A and chocolate B. The scales can be as below:

For both the chocolates--

From 10units-19units--5 INR per unit

From 20units-49units--7 INR per unit

From 50units--10 INR per unit

You also tell the customer that even if he buys a combination of both the rebate would still be available as per the above scales. At the end of the campaign lets say the customer buys 11 units of Chocolate A and 9 units of Chocolate B. Then according to the ECC 4.7 version the rebate would be calculated as (115+95)=INR 100. But if you use same scale group lets say AA(can be anything-make sure you use similar cases-upper case or lower case should be consistent) in both the cases, then in ECC 6.0 the rebate would be calculated on the basis of the combined sales of both the chocolates. So for this at the end of the campaign, the net sales would be calculated as (11+9=20 units). So for 20 units the customer would be eligible to get rebate at 7INR per unit. So total rebate payout would be 20*7=140 INR.
