Forwarding agents in shipment

Dear Gurus,

I have a query in shipment processing.

We have a shipment to be executed from Mumbai to Bangladesh. In between departure point and destination point, shipment will be exchanged with other service agent at kolkotta and then from kolkata to customer's place the same shipment will be transported.

In SAP system. there would be two legs in shipment route with one stage. There are two different service agents for two legs in shipment processing.

When I create a shipment document in SAP, I can input delivery number, shipment route and one service agent. But...my shipment has got two service agents...what would be the procedure to complete the shipment activity.

If i transfer the costs to accounting in Shipment cost document...how many POs will be created...or individual PO will be created for each service agent..?

Hi,

I would suggest to create two stages in the shipment. Then each stage can have separate Vendor (carrier/forwarding agent) assigned.
