Hi,
I had tried to install the following OS patches in my server.(windows 2003, SQL2000)
After installing these patches, i found that my sql services are become manual mode and could not be start
As a temporary solution, i had uninstalled the OS patches and sql services are running fine after uninstallation of OS patces.
I want to know that, is any precaution need to be taken before applying the OS patches?
Which are those precautions?

Did you try to find out the reasons for that? Event log? SQL Server logs?
