SMSY - SYSTEM HEADER DATA SOURCE

For each system within SMSY, within the HEADER DATA tab, what determines the DATA SOURCE for each system?

Within SMSY_SETUP it is defined as SLD, yet for many systems it states that TMS/RFC is used rather than the SLD?

Hi Virgo

The data source determines the source that originally created the system entry

It also determines how that entry will be updated in future - i.e if new SPs are added to the monitored system

Hi Virgo,

I assume that you are on EHP1 for Solution Manager.

In EHP1, the logic for Landscape Fetch job has changed. First it reads data from SLD and then via the RFC's generated for ABAP Systems if available.

This means that whereever the RFC's are available you will see the data source as TMS/RFC instead of SLD.
