How to avoid an specific server node to start automatically ??

Hi,

We have a JAVA-only SAP system. In one of it's instances we have 4 server nodes. We want to add 2 server nodes that should be down always even if the system restarts. We want to start those nodes in special occasions manually.

Do you know if there is a way to achieve this?

Thanks and regards

Hi,

It simple open your config tool and then navigate to the notes you want then select that node

on the right hand side you will find servers general tab go to that tab then

there will be a small checked box for execute just deselect that server, and restart your AS java system, when u start up this server process will not start.

Regards,

Vamshi.

Hi,

You can certainly do this.

Login to Configtool. Click on the server node. Click on Servers General.

Under Startup Framework Settings, you have a checkbox called Execute.

Deselect that and save the settings. Restart the server.

When you want to use them, just select that option and restart the instance.

Cheers.....,
