Quality is not getting activated in MMR

Dear

We were manufacturing and dispatching a component since Nov, 1st. the component did not have quality origin 04 checked in material master and quality was not active.

Now we need to activate quality inspection for the component. When I tried to activate it I am getting an error, that material is not empty.

We maintained inspection plan for the component.

Please let me know how to activate quality for the component?

Use Tcode QA08 in this case . Maintain tick in activate inspection type and activate despite insp stock
