Warning in deployment via SDM

Hello All,

I have tried to deploy one of my custom developed SCA file on WAS 7.0 SP14.via SDM, the file is deployed but with warning what can be reson for this warning.

Hello Vinit,

As per log, the application which SDM wants to start is fail to start as the reference application is not started.

Failed to prepare application lntinfotech.com/appl~dp_common_tabelmaintain for startup. Reason= Clusterwide exception: Failed to start application lntinfotech.com/appl~dp_common_tabelmaintain: The referenced application lntinfotech.com/appl~ja_common_tablemaintain cannot be started.

You can start reference application vai Visual Admin.

Thanks for your reply.

Pls find clarification on problem.

The log that i have pasted above shows that there is warning for referenced aplivcation ie appl~ja_common_tablemaintain, I cudn't find this application in Visual Admin.

But i found this application in Ep < Content Administration < Web Dynpro . there in right hand side panel navigated to Deployed Content < lntinfotech.com < lntinfotech.com/appl~dp_common_tabelmaintain(DC Name) < Application < CommonTableMaintainApp (Object Name).

Navigated to Reference tab that is second on top .There CommonTableMaintainApp is red and shops stopped.

Can any one suggest me why this reference aplication is stopped?

Any help will be highly appretiated.

Hi Vinit,

May not be possible to tell why the application is stopped without any logs.

You may try running that program from the webdynpro content view. Also the program should be listed in VA under Deploy -> Application. Try starting the program.

If you are not able to start, please revert with the logs.

Both the applications lntinfotech.com/appl_{ja_common_tablemaintain and lntinfotech.com/appl}dp_common_tabelmaintain is blue in Visual admin ie it is started.

But com/appl~ja_common_tablemaintain reference is red in EP < Content Admin< Web Dynpro

Application is working fine in EP no doubt in that but the concern is that we wanted techinical reson that why com/appl~ja_common_tablemaintain in EP is red?

Ask for any log if needed.

Maybe the the development component is disabled. Try to enable it in the webdynpro content view.
