Message Packaging

Hi Friends,

I am implementing message packaging functionality in XI system.

I am taking the help of blog

In the 2nd step Create "Package Configuration Type", after entering a new line and try to save it i am getting a popup'Prompt for Customizing request'

It has Table entry as SXMS_BCFG_MAST and asking for REQUEST entry to enter.

Please help me what should i enter here.

Hi Suresh,

This is expected behavior, you are being asked by the system to track the changes that you are making to the system.

Just select the generate request button that is available in the popup it will generate the request and your changes will be saved.

Keep note of the Request id that gets generated. Using that you can migrate your changes to different instances of the PI server (e.g. Development, Quality, Production)

Hi Suresh,

Here you have to select your local change requests creted against your User ID.

If you dont have you can crete the same in SE09 for your userid.
