Pros and Cons of Chaning TB Profile

Hello All,

We have a planning book for executing the delpoyment which has the time buket profile in days. Now the users like to change it to weekly buckets. So please let me know what will be pros and cons of changing the time bucket profile.

Hi Siva,

Data back up is mainly for change analysis to

determine and analysis the extend of change.

And also, for any change, the recommended

practice is to update the existing data whether

data is going to get loss or not.

In your change scenario, the chances of data

loss is bare minimum.

Hi Siva,

Before change of the profile, ensure suitable back up of

existing data is taken up (within planning area/infocube level)

Before executing the change, ensure the existing

deployment orders are delivered/removed from system so

that system will start using new change and use with the

orders accordingly to avoid inconsistency.

Last but not the least, check the performance in

testing environment before executing into production

Do I need to take the data back-up for chaning the TB profile?
