Error connecting to ftp server

Hi all,

I have a File-XI-IDoc scenario.

In this case the XI needs to poll a csv file from some other system.

I have configured the FTP server on that system.

The File adapter on the sender side is using FTP.

The details of the adapter are as follows:

Server:<IP Address of the FTP server>

port: 21

Anonymous Login

folder: D:/send

But RWB, Adapter monitoring shows the following error with the sender communication channel:

Sender Adapter v1014 for Party '', Service 'SenderService':

Configured at 16:42:44 2006-05-31

Processing Error: Error connecting to ftp server '10.1.6.116': com.sap.aii.adapter.file.ftp.FTPEx: User neetu.gupta cannot log in.

last retry interval started 16:46:14 2006-05-31

length 30,000 secs

Pls if anybody could guide me as to what can be the possible error.

Thanks in advance.

Regards

Neetu

Hi,

My sender PC has Windows XP, which has the FTP service already installed.

I just enabled and started the service following the steps provided in the link mentioned below:

http://www.faqts.com/knowledge_base/view.phtml/aid/23645

Therefore no such root folder got created on my PC.

So how do i check the path and the Rights provided to the FTP folder?

Regards

Neetu

Once you have configured your FTP usually your root path becomes / so try giving it in that format ....

suppose you have configured your FTP in drive C (in case of GUILD FTP etc) it gets installed in say C:/FTP then you root node is / instead of C:/FTP.

Also chk that if your FTP forlder has read/write rights.
