Defining the systems for Charm

Hi Experts,

We are planning to configure charm in our landscape, but we have a doubt regarding the system definitions.

We are Four development clients they are 100, 200, 300 and 400

One quality - QUA

One Production - PRD

When a transport request is created from client 100 of development box, it has to be tested in 200, 300 and 400. Through 400 client it has to be transported to QUA system and from there to the PRD system.

Development Quality Production

> 300

-

---

> 400 -

---

> QUA -

---

> PRD

If we define all the development clients 200,300 and 400 as quality clients, then where should be define QUA system.

You can define up to 10 roles in SMSY. Say, u can give, DEV1,DEV2,DEV3 and DEV4 for your DEV clients and QAS and PRD as ususal. Create the transport route accordingly, you can configure your ChaRm.

in SMSY / logical components you can define multiple roles for your landscape
