MDM 7.1 and SQL Server 2008 Connection problem

Hi,

I am not able to connect MDM 7.1 (7.1.01.78) with Microsoft SQL Server 2008. Logs says OLEDB Error. Could you please let me know what is to be checked if you have faced similar problem

I hope you are using

SQL Server 2008 64bit - if it is on same machine with MDM server.

SQL Server 2008 64bit Clients -if MDM server and SQL server are on two different machines.

Compatibility with SQL Server 2008 was not added until MDM 7.1 SP02. You will need to patch up SAPStartSrv first.

Let me double-check first. Are you running SQL Server 2008 on Windows Server 2008?

Hi Jitesh,

MDM 7.1 SP01 has never been released for Windows Server 2008, either. Use 7.1 SP02.

I don't know of any notes. You may want to search for any notes about MDM compatibility with Windows Server 2008. SQL Server 2008 is included in that topic. At any rate, you will need SAPStartSrv.exe ver. 710 patch 146 or newer.
