Unable to determine the consumption account,

when giving item category given as TAS but while giving TAB the system is allowing to create the Purchase requisition and the PO and GRN..

All the settings in the OBYC is done.

Whay am I missing?

Hi

For item cate TAS the schedule line in standard SAP is CS

CS settings in VOV6 is

CS will have no movement type

Order type will be NB

Item cate is 5

Account assignment category is X this Account assignment category is the key settings and incompletion procedure 31

For item cate TAB the schedule line in standard SAP is CB

CB settings in VOV6 is

CB will have 601 movement type

Order type will be NB

Item cate is 0

Account assignment category is M this Account assignment category is the key settings and incompletion procedure 31 plus item relevant for delivery is ticked and purchase requestition del sch ticked

If these are maintained then there should not be any problem

Consumption account for only TAS third party as the material goes directly to customer from vendor

For TAB the material comes to our plant from vendor and we make the delivery to our customer it hits the inventory account and then COGS

In addition to the above-

You can check the "Account Modifier" in OME9 maintained in respective Account Assignment Category which is assigned @ Schedule line Category level in VOV6 i.e CS /CB.

Hi,

GOTO T-code OBYC Use Transaction Event key GBB and enter Valuation class and G/l Account Number.

And also check whether the UPDATE QUANTITY is checked or not in OMS2 for your Material type HAWA and Plant

Hi,

The difference between TAB and TAS lies in the Schedule line category associated to it.

For TAB --- Schedule Line Category is CB (VOV5 tcode)

For TAS --- Schedule Line Category is CS (VOV5 tcode)

Now, for CB (VOV6 tcode) you have all the necessary settings for PO req. and the order type are made.

Whereas for CS (VOV6 tcode) the check in the P.req.del.sched field is missing.
