Usage of billing & activity type in PS

1. What is the significance of activity type and billing element in sales order.

2. Can we assign activity type as well as billing element to same wbs element.

Dear,

Billing element assigned to Planning Profile OPSB and it carry the revenue planning from sales order or quptation to Project.

Activity type carries the cost of activity to work center and it is assigned to master data of Work center.

Billing element is for plan and actual revenue and activity type is for the expenditure and for one WBS purpose of both is

diffrent as given above.And both can be used is revenue and expendature is comming.

billing element on a WBS means you can plan revenues and post actual revenues to a WBS

activity types are units of work assigned to a network activty - the network activity is usually linked to a WBS for cost linkages - the WBS if a billing element can be linked to a sales order for revenue linkages

But when I m entering Billing element WBS in sales order its is showing error : WBS element is not an account assignment element

Open your WBS in Cj20n on basic data tab tick operative indicator

Account Assignment & Billing Element. & Then give the same WBS in your sales order.
