Hello Gurus,
I have created a Material master and by mistake extended to 3 plants.
I want to extend it to only one plant.
My goal is to remove the 2 plant view for which i have by mistake extended the material.
Regards
Prashant
Hi Prashant,
You may no be able to delete the views but if you intention is to restrict the material from being used in any documents for the plants other than the one you should have maintained it can be done.
In material master Basic View there is a field- ' X-plant matl status ' i.e. cross-plant matl status and in MRP 1 view there is a field ' Plant-sp.matl status '. By selecting the appropriate status in these fields the material can be blocked for any processing.
The customisation for the status is done in the following IMG path -Logistics - General---> Material Master ->Settings for Key Fields->Define Material Statuses

Karthik.

Hi Prashant,
Mark the relevant material data segment for deletion and run the data archiving program.
If the master data is not used anywhere, then the archiving program will delete the MARC entries at the database level.
This is the standard way that guarantees database coherence.
