Hi anuja,
Product Version is used for Same BOM different Routings,
Or for Single Routing Different Alt BOM.
For EX BOM 1 i,e say suppose a BIke is made in 2 sheds, the BOM For BIke will be Same, But manufature of 2 BIKES will take in
two sheds . SHED 1, will be ur first WORK Center, SHED 2 will be ur Second Work CENTER whre 2nd bike is being manufactured.
Now to book the COST in two different sheds you use two GRP Counter in one Routing.
BOM will be 1, Routing will be TWO for Same Material, with 2 group Counters.
now Production Version
0001 BIKE1 under shed 1 BOM 1 ROUTING XXXX 1 (GORUP COUNTER1)
0002 BIKE2 Under Shed 2 BOM 1 ROUTING XXXX 2 (GORUP COUNTER2)
When u create Order syetem Propose two Production version , whre u have to slect appropriate Pversion.

Pavan

Hi,
In c223, give plant, material, in slection condition tab. Below you can see production version. Just below give material, production version name, text and valid from date and press enter. You can give valid to date also other wise it will take as 12/31/9999. Click the line item and on the bottom click at detail view , there you give your routing and BOM detial and click at check, if it is green at BOM and routing then go and save it.
I hope it is clear to you now.

Satyajit
anuja,
C223 is a mass maintainance transaction for maintaing production versions.
if you input materil number and plant in header screen ( selection criteria) it can give you all the versions maintain for this combination.
but if you want to maibntain production versions for different material in a plant you can leave material field blank in heade screen ( selection criteria) and input materials at lower screen.
check out and revert back .
hope it helps you.
Regards
Ritesh

Dear
Production version is the combinatin of BOM and Routing. It is used to describe the production process to be used for planned/production order.
You can create using t.code C223
Enter the material, plant. In the detail screen, mention the Production version number, which type of routing, the alternative BOM and routing group. Then finally check the consistency.
