Bex Web analyzer in BI 7.0

HI SAP Gurus,

Currently we have BI 7.0 (ABAP+JAVA) server. Now if try to execute any BW Query into browser from Query Designer , it ask Enterprise Portal. So is it true that in BI 7.0 we need EP to execute any query from Query designer ?

Just ABAP+JAVA is not enough ?

You need to setup a BI Portal.

Hi,

Along with BI (ABAPJAVA) at the time of installation you need to select BI_JAVA component which will also install EP and EPC along with ABAPJAVA.

After that you need to do configuration for portal and after that you can execute the query designer in browser.

That meand i need following usage types in order to execute query designer in browser :

AS ABAP,AS JAVA,BI-JAVA,EP,EPC

after that i need to setup Bex web according to note :917950 .

Correct me if i am wrong !! Can i install additional usage tyupes with JSPM ?

You need to use JSPM to install additional usage type for existing system. You can't use sapinst. Please check SAP Note 883948.

Only BI ABAP+JAVA enough.

Only you need to setup BI portal.
