doubt on process chain repeat ?

Hi,

I have a DTP process automated in the process chain, and my doubt is in the DTP step of an infocube, its stuck ...generally it takes 3 min to complete that DTP step ...and then its been more than half hour and its stuck in yellow in the monitor screen and nothing changes....then I have cancelled the job manually and now I see a red request in the cube and that DTP step turned RED. So now my question is can I do a normal repeat on the failed step in the PC or delete the red request from the manage of the cube and then do a repeat ? WIll this process differ if its an ods ? or its the same process for a cube and ods ? I hope my question is clear, for ex the steps in the process chain are start ,del index, dtp step, activation step and db statistics. SO please guide me on the repeat step.
