upgrade 4.6c -> ECC 6.0 V6R1M0

hi all,

i have a question for migration SAP R3 4.6c -> ECC 6.0 SR 3 on my Testsystem.

the upgrade phases EU_IMPORT1 - EU_IMPORT7 runtime it amounted 26 hours.

my impression is R3load works to beginn of the job fine, but after four to five minutes the process work very slow.

By comparsion, with other upgrades on similar hardware environment V5R4M0: runtime 2 - 3 hours.

my environment:

system i V6R1M0 last CUM PTF, DB Group PTF Info APAR.

SAPUP was patched with the last SAPUP patch.

upgrade was started with five R3trans and five R3load processes.

Hi Karl,

what did you use as EU_IMPORT Time ? the default of 24 h ?

If yes, then you know why it took 26 h - just because it added "sleep" for 24 h - as requested ...

Hi Vokker,

thanks, it´s probably the reason for the long runtime.

in my standrad upgrade procedure i set the import time to 2 hours, maybe i have not override the import time.

why is the import process to see in wrkactjob and work partly?

Hi Karl,

I always recommend to use 0h instead of 2 for that ....
