Qm: reason for defect text is not capturing.

Hi Experts,

During Usage decision , for inspection lot. some materials are moved to blocked stock using movement type 350.

when processing such thing , reason for defect will be given. That exact text is not captured in table MSEG. field SQTXT.

this text has to be captured and displayed in the report. Kindly suggest me how to track the problem.

this problem is from past one month, before that the process had no problem.

kindly help in this issue.

enter Material Doc: here do not enter 101 mvt type Document.Enter 350 mvt type document.

Enter plant

F8

you will get the field "ITEM_TEXT" .....this will be your short text

Dear All,

Fetching data is not a problem. In table MSEG under field SGTXT the reason text is maintained previously.

But know in that field , the text is not captured.

may be any customization changes had to be carried out to solve ?

Because till last month , the text is maintained and had no problem. but for past 30 days , it is not captured in the table.

Use Function Module READ_TEXT.

The text mentioned in the document field in block fileld is captured in the MSEG SGTXT. Please let me know what you mean by correct text is not getting captured

It's like not correct text : its TEXT. what ever the text given when rejecting material during usage decision is not captured .

For Example : Rejection.

Reason for movement 62.

Text : ROLLED IN DIRT

The above said is , when rejecting the material.

and my issue is : the text given ROLLED IN DIRT is not captured in table MSEG-SGTXT.

before it was captured and the report had no problem. But now it is not capturing.

During process , it asks for reason , but not capturing.
