Add Dialog Instance to ABAP System

Hey there,

i have read the Installation Guide for a Netweaver 7.0 + EHP1 Installation. Now i have installed the ABAP Part of the Installation and want to add a Dialog Instance on the same Server for the new System.

Could someone give me a hint or can tell me how to do this?

Hi Walter,

As pointed out by Juan, what is the necessity of adding additional dialog instance on the same server as central instance ?

I am not confident enough that you can install a dialog instance on the same server as central instance and run it as it may cause shared memory issues.

Please let us know the exact requirement.

For the dialog instance installation read the installation guide under "Dialog Instance"

Also, is there any point in installing an application server on the same host of the central instance?
