Issue while creating user in MDM7.1

Hi All,

I am facing one issue while creating a user in the console

Error message :*MDM repository is out of date or locked by another MDM server. Refresh the data and try the operation*

Can anyone tell me why this problem is happening. I am using MDM7.1.02.99

Hi Susil,

One of the reasons for this to happen could be that a user password

Was changed via Data Manager or any other client except for the Console.

Please change the password in via Console and check it try again

Here i am talking about creation of new user and not change of password for an existing user.

Hi,

One cause for that error could be multiple users using console at the same time and trying to modify users table.

You can restrict users from creating new users by giving read only authorizations to Role and Users table to the role assigned to the users.

Hi SHiv,

I did not found any users logged in to console at that point of time when i tried creating users.

Again, as you see the error message, it says being locked by some MDM server.

Hi Susil,

Since it is possible to share the database with multiple MDM servers. In your case it would be possible that this repository is been accessed by another MDM server present in the landscape. Check whether you can get the option Approriate Repository.

Try the below:

1. Update Repository.. if it is out of date

2. Verify-> Check/Repair the repository.

is there any setting where in there can be some sort of restriction for users creating any User in MDM7.1.
