Hi,
I try to use brtools to add a datatfile to a tablespace
but it is a crazy tool or I am crazy ?
what is the simplest way to add a datafile to a tablespace ?
Thanks in advance
Hi,
Brtools is a very good tool to work out all the database related activities since it is menu based and you need not do commands for everything.
I dont know what is causing you to go crazy in using Brtools.
Just go through the menu options in brtools to add the datafile. I feel thats the simplest way rather use commands to do the same.
Cheers....,
Raghu

Hi,
Logic is very simple. You have to say NO for skip because at that time if you will say yes then it will add another data file.
Just select no if you want to add single data file. If you want to add more that one datafile then you have to select yes then it will add another datafile.
If it is still difficult for you then you can use command line to add datafile.
alter tablespace <tablespace name> add datafile <location of data file> size <specify size> autoextend on;
Thanks
Sunny
