Sam,

Yes, there is a different in Table control UI.

How exactly this bugs you? It's hard to imaging any problems besides differences with quite tricky "firstVisibleRow" property management.

I'm OK with differences if they are well defined. Any references to such definitions would be greatly appreciated.

Sam,

Different WD clients have different history. For example, the oldest HTML client is mature and fully documented. Clients for hand-helds (Blackberry, PocketIE) is a bit newer but their limitations (supported UI controls, layout, properties) are documented very well

SmartClient is brand new type of WD client. Sadly, its differences and specifics not documented well yet. Actually, I'm not sure whether SmartClient entered GA stage or it is a preview release.

The windows and java based clients (sometimes refered to as SmartClients) are not yet Generally Available. That probably speaks to the lack of documentation - as they are not finished products yet.

Where could I find ramp-up and GA schedule?

Release schedules for the product themeselves can always be found on the PAM (Platform Availability Matrix) - http://service.sap.com/PAM

I checked however I don't see an entry in there regarding the windows or java clients for web dynpro. That level of detail may likely be found in an OSS note.
