hi Sekhar & Sunny

thanks for your reply,

I've checked SMICM and the ICM is running

Sunny, do I have to check the log also? where is it located?

Sekhar, you asked :

Please ensure, you are using the right port number of target system that you are calling" --> where to check??

thanks a lot

Hi

You can check using SM59 if you are using any RFC Destination to your target system.

Otherwise...you can check SMICM log using

GoTO transaction SMICM

Choose GoTo->Trace File ->Display All

Hi Sekhar

here is the error message from SMICM :

[Thr 1029] *** ERROR => Connection request from (-1/65535/0) to host: casapdev.capcx.com, service: 8020 failed (NIEHOST_UNKNOWN)

[Thr 1029] *** ERROR => IcmJ2EEScheduleFunc: Connection to casapdev.capcx.com:8020 failed - please check host configuration (-8)

what should I do?

Hi Rosa Della,

As i mentioned in my first response, you need to check if there is any RFC defained for this system using SM59 transaction.

casapdev.capcx.com:8020 failed

And, ensure this hostname "casapdev.capcx.com" is correct

Ensure this is the port being configured/used for HTTP based communication "8020"

You may please take your Basis consultant help if possible/applicable.

Sekhar

Also, check your ICM parameters to check if the HTTP ports are maintained properly...

Hi

Please ensure, 1. you are using the right port number of target system that you are calling 2. ICM is active/online on both the systems, you can check using SMICM.
