Hi All,
Is is possible to create folder hierarchy in the receiving FTP server using the "Create Target Directory" option of the File receiver Adapter in PI?
I have tried to create a single folder and it works just fine by creatiiing that folder in the FTP server.
But if I try to create a folder hierarchy e.g. Parent\Child, it fails.
Do let me know if its a llimitation of PI 7.1
regards,
Piyush
Hi Piyush,
No it is not a limitation, the file adapter is configured to create the folder if it didn't exist. But in this case it need to create all the parent folders, which it will not do and hence it is unable to create the folder where the end file shoudl be delivered.... And it goes into error
Regards

it is not a limitation since the design is not meant to create a hierarchy.
The target directory means a single directory at the target. So the adapter can create a directory provided its parent is present.
Hope it is clear.
