Problem with MaxDB recovery

Hello.

I have strange problem with my DB (ver.7.6.06.05). Yesterday (03/12/09) I have restored DB from medium from 01/12/2009 (cold full backup) via recovery function in Database Manager. All is ok, but we have found that DB have restored for the last point (03.12.2009 ), but not to the 01/12/2009.

What does it mean? Can DB restore last log itself or something else? What can I did wrong?

If you restored the system to a database where all the logs between 01/12/09 and 03/12/09 are still available in the database the database will roll forward automatically during restart.

If you want to have the database without those logs you need to "recover with initialization". This means, that the log is formatted (and hence empty).
