Hi Experts
I have created a Project with one root WBSelement (R). Below this I have created two elements (A & B).
I have kept a budget of Rs.1000/- at 'R' and 'A'. No budget is kept at 'B'. In budget tolerance settings the 'error' is kept on PR and PO.
I purchase material worth Rs.1000/- (ME51, acc.ass.'Q') on element 'A'.
When Material is received at 'A' , I consume it on a NWActivity below 'B'.
In reports (e.g. S_ALR_87013558) the budget is exhausted at Project level , that is at element 'R'.
But I am again able to raise PR for Rs.1000/- at element 'A'. The system is not checking the overall budget at root level 'R'.
Is this standard? What should I do If I want to pu a check at overall project level budget?

Check System system status for all your WBS. It should be "AVAC".
As suggested by, Rahul Kulkarni, In OPS9 enable your budget tolerance limit for "Release" & maintain activation type "1" .
Then in budget tolerance configuration, maintain it for all activity groups (i.e. ++ )
It should work.

As you have not mentioned Budget Release, So, Your are not releasing the budget and wanted to to see budget availability control at overall level, In OPS9 only tick " overall" & unchecked " release" and activation type 1 in availability control section.
Check your scenario with above settings.

Hi,
Try running CJBN and check.
If that does not work try by maintaining "++" in the budget tolerance limit setting (if your business process permits). As far as i know budget check happens for the entire project. Lets wait for others to comment, meanwhile you can try changing the setting as suggested above.
Hope this helps,.

Gokul

Hi,
just check in OPS9 availability control is on Rlease or not...? what is activation type?
For WBS A in system status check AVAC is active or not.
