Access remote PI server through SAP Router

Dear Experts,

We have a remote PI server which is not in our network(where our desktops are placed). There are firewalls in between our Desktops and the server.

We want to access the PI server( All utilities such as IR,ID,SAPGUI,HTTP etc) from our desktop through SAP Router which we will install on the remote PI server and open port 3299 from our desktop to PI server in all firewalls coming in between.

What kind of configuration is required from the SAP router perspective ?

I can somehow manage to access SAPGUI through SAP Router Strings. But how about HTTP,HTTPS,IR and ID accesses ?

It is the same how SAP accesses remote servers in case of support.

I read in some forum post, that its a secret maintained by SAP.

Any ideas are most welcome.

Cheers....,

Raghu

Sriram,

I do not see a portion on this documents that states connections with Java servers.

I think Raghu is looking for the same as I am, to connect remotely to a Java server without VPN.

Thanks,

Jose
