Need RFC connection with the SM7.0 while running ehpi?

Scenario: apply enhp2 for Oracle/AIX/PI/BI.

According to the guide, table BCOS_CUST must be maintained for the above RFC connection.

Is this necessary?

If so, we have 4 SM7.0 systems (Sandbox, DEV, QA, PRD). Which one needs to be connected?

Thanks a lot!

Hi Jessica,

This is not necessary. If you want ehpi should download stack xml file from solman automatically then you need to do this configuration. Else you can download stack xml file manually from solman and put it in EPS/in directory. Then you will not require this configuration.

Thanks

Hi

Yes, you require to maintain the details in BCOS_CUST table

This is to enable SAPehpi to read the stack configuration file from SAP Solution Manager, the RFC connection to SAP Solution Manager has to be maintainedin the system that you want to update.

Proceed as follows:

1. Log on to the system.2. Call transaction SM30.3. Open the BCOS_CUST table and create

And to answer your other query, its depend on which environment of PI/BI you are trying to do...if you are doing in Production then I suggest to connect/use Solution Manager Production environment.

I hope this helps you in understanding the purpose.
