I am attempting to build a PI71EHP1 system on a Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise platform and failing on the compatibility check, I recently built a similar system without R2 without a problem.
Database is SQL 2008 for both systems.
I continued past the compatibility message labeled as HIGH only to see other differences on what should be identical installs.
1. sapmnt and saploc shares created OK but needed to have share level permissions set.
2. sapinst is unable to create the sapjsf account. The install is far enough along that I can log into the Abap system and see that sapjsf is missing. I am currently considering creating the account manually but wonder what other problems/differences await me.
Has anyone else used this platform successfully or unsuccessfully?
Hi Bill,
R2 Enterprise is not Supported in the latest versions of PI server as well as the latest operating systems.
One of my friend tried then he got so many issues, if suppose it is supported then we have to do lot of changes.
Regards
Ramesh
