Retrieving Archived data from SAP content server

Hi there

We're trying to test archiving of data using the SAP content server.

We are able to archive data but seem to have run into a snag retrieving the data. It says it has stored the data in the content server, however if we remove the archive file from the exchange directory we are no longer able to retrieve the data.

Any suggestion?

Regards,

Athol

Turned out to be an issue with SAPHTTP.

Hi Athol,

In the SARA->Management, if you double click on the archive session individual files to see the archive file details, does is still show the File Name, Logical Path and Physical File Name for the archive file and say 'Archive file is accessible in file system'? if yes, can you edit the File Name, Logical Path and Physical File Name and make it blank and try retrieving. You may want to take a screen shot of the path and file name before you make it blank; in case if you want to put it back later.

Hope this helps,

Naveen

1. SAP Content Server is installed and used for the SAP Data archiving files.

2. A production archive run were executed in the DEV system for archive object EXAMPLE.

3. The archive is stored successfully, but the delete job gives a HTTP access error with status as FINISHED.

4. The archive file is deleted from the basic path/exchange directory with status u2018deletion completedu2019, stored completed and u2018archive file accessible from storage systemu2019.

5. When read program is executed to display the archive file u2013 error u201Cno file openedu201D occurs

6. Please see attached document for detail explanation of error and customising setup

7. The print list archiving to the same content repository is successfully stored and accessible.

8. Is different access required from ECC to access the data archived files stored on SAP CS?

9. The connection to the SAP CS via OAC0, CSADMIN is successful.
