Use the same SPStab.xml for different products

Experts:

I just used ehpi to install enhp1 on PI DEV

1) I will use the same SPStab.xml for PI QA, PI UA and PI PROD;

2) May I use the same SPStab.xml for BI DEV, BI QA and BI PROD?

3) May I use the same for ECC6.0 -- I guess NO.

The source systems are BI7.0 and PI7.0 on Oracle/Windows.

It is possibe but you have to have equal SP level as you have had in DEV before upgrade.

Yes, see above.

You cannot use this for ECC6, in BI you have different components etc...

If the start levels of DEV and QA are different, what should I do? I do not want to re-calculate and re-download the packs

since I already did it once.

Please help.

If you don't want to recalculate, you hve to manually edit spstab.xml and add / remove the components by comparing to SPAM Patch level.

How hard is the job to modify the SPStab.xml versus re-download?

If it is very few entries, not hard. If patch level difference in Dev and Quality is more, than it is hard because you have to add / delete entry in this file and verify for typo error and you are not missing any entry.
