Hi Yoganand,

Thanks for the reply..

I have been to that link, but it talk about Data archiving, and I want the document archiving.( see my comment below the same link)

So I guess, it makes alot difference in both?

Do you know how to do the document archiving on FS?

Hello,

I guess you have to select the RFC archive storage type, which uses the SAP Archive link to store the documents which will be archived. To select this option first you will have to setup the Archive link through IMG in SAP.

Check the below links, they might help you.

Hi Yoganand,

Again you confused me a bit. You mention abt using RFC storage type which uses archivelink?

Can you please a more precise in technical terms and appreciate if you give some details of how this can be done?

I have been to the links you mentioned, but was not clear how to use it?

Thanks again.

Hello,

If you would like to use a content repository defined in OAC0 to perform document archiving to a filesystem there is only one option.

You have to choose Storage type = HTTP Content Server.

Afterwards you have to define a Content Server that allows you to store the documents on a filesystem.

The cheapest solution for this is SAP's Content Server 6.40.

You can also use OpenText (IXOS) for this but this is an expensive solution.
