Dear All,
Currently during sample calculation in inapection lot, system search the maximum sample size and Base quantity maintained in inspection plan and calculates the sample quantity.
But our requirement is different. We want to calculate the sample quantity based on the lot quantity received against inspection lot. Ex.
Lot quantity Sample quantity
100-200 KG 100 G
201-400 KG 150 G
Is it possible to calculate the sample quanity based on lot quantity.
Please suggest.
Thanks and Regards,

Go to QDP1--->click on either attribute or Variable >select say AQL& seviarity->continue-->Enter seviarity & AQL level say
Seviarity=1
AQL=4.0
Then In sampling table :
Lot quantity Sample quantity
100 50(say)
200 100
400 150
10000000000 200 etc
Unit of the sample will be from the bas unit of measure or it may be from alternate unit of measurement.
You can maintain conversion in Material Master.
Also you can manually convert the sample size in sampling table itself like 0.2 etc
Now use this sampling scheme you can use in sampling procedure.
If you are not using task list then use sampling procedure in QM view.
If you are using task list then assign sampling procedure against each MIC.
I hope this will add some value

Hi Sujit (or Gujar) do not know what's the name and what the surname...
Tried to send you a message directly, but as we are not linked, the system does not permit it.
Quick question on sample size determination... I am preparing the QM certification for the associate level and I am trying to understand all what is explained in the handbooks...
in PLM412, Q Planning and Inspection, page 44, it is explained how to calculate simple size when the UoM of the inspection lot does not consists of single units...
I do not fully understand (Example 2), what is the difference between:
Can you please light me up?
thanks a lot
