Search help in table control

Hi,

I have binded CATSDB ttable to table control in my WDA application. By create_element and bind_element I'm adding rows to my table. For attribute SKOSTL I set Dictionary Search Help - KOST. But search help do't appear in my table in running WDA application. TableColumn has inputfield as an cell-editor.

Where is error?

Hi,

when you cehck the SKOSTL there is no SH associated at the DE level right...

Hi,

I know this, but I have changed SKOSTL Input help mode from Automatic to Dictionary Search Help and set Dictionary Search Help to 'KOST'. This should work, or am I wrong?

HI,

For SKOSTL the DE is SKOSTL and in SH KOST the DE is KOSTL both are different right..

check the exit in the same...and use it..or you need to deisgn your own SH and get teh values...

Hi,

I understand now, DE KOSTL != DE SKOSTL, but both DEs have same domain KOSTL , but this is apparently too little to have KOST search help working.

but in CATS2 transaction, KOST search help is used for SKOSTL DE..... I'm confused now.

Hi,

I have discovered that search help is out of function ONLY in IE 8.0, in FF 3.5 I can see KOST search help in table control in WDA.... I'm on SP19.

What can be problem?

The problem could be that we don't support IE 8.0 yet. Check the Platform availability matrix (http://service.sap.com/pam) for supported browser levels. IE8 support won't come until SP20.
