how to install BI content add-on ?

dear all,

I try to install the add on to netweaver, and the netweaver is download from SDN 7.0 SR3

and after I load the SAR file to the system, start the installation.

but for the fisrt step, it check the system requirment,

it give the error: TP_CANNOT_CONNECT_SYSTEM

and return code:0208

could someone give some support?

I feel it's a STMS configuration issue. What's the result of the checks , i mean

STMS -> System Overview -> Select the corresponding system -> SAP System -> Check

Do the all there checks under that,

Connection test

Tranport directory

Transport tool

RFC communication error with system /destination

Hi,

Run R3trans -d and check if everything is OK. If not then check trans.log in same directory from where you will run R3trans -d.

Also, have you followed installation guide to install netweaver SR3 ?

BI Cont you can install once you will finish the installation from SAINT.

yes, I installed the NETWEAVER R3 with the guide and it can be use smooth

but in fact, I cannot find the guide for Add on!

Hi Alex,

Have you configured the STMS in the system. Before applying support patches or add-on, configure the STMS. SInce it is single system make it as a domain controller and after that start installing the add on. Configure STMS from 000 client.

Also, you have uncar the sar file before installing the add-on. You can do this manually at OS level using SAPCAR -xvf <filename> and then put the two files .ATT and .PAT files in EPS\IN folder and after that load it from SAINT. Other way is you can place the file on your desktop and load packges from front end in SAINT.
