Will MS Office 2010 64-bit be supported with SAPGUI 7.20?

Will MS Office 2010 64-bit be supported in combination with SAPGUI 7.20 (32-bit) on Windows 7 64-bit or is it neccessary to use MS Office 2010 32-bit even if the OS is 64-bit? SAP notes 1412821 (SAP GUI for Windows: Support on Windows 7) and

147519 (Maintenance strategy / deadlines 'SAP GUI') doesn't answer this question.

It says:

SAP GUI for Windows Release 7.20

Windows 2003 Server 32bit.

Windows Server 2003 64bit edition on x64 (AMD) and Intel EM64T.

Windows Vista 32bit (only "Business", "Ultimate" and "Enterprise" editions).

Windows Vista 64bit edition on x64 (AMD) and Intel EM64T (only "Business", "Ultimate" and "Enterprise" editions).

Windows 2008 Server 32bit.

Windows 2008 Server 64bit on x64 (AMD) and Intel EM64T.

Windows 2008 R2 Server 64bit on x64 (AMD) and Intel EM64T.

I read this as:

You can run 64-bit version of SAPGUI in 7.20 and thus use the 64-bit version of Office 2010 (supported in SAPGUI 7.20).

Because note 66971 says the following about SAPGUI on 64bit I have reservations concerning the interaction between a 32bit SAPGUI 7.20 and 64bit MS Office 2010 especially regarding the BW Frontend (e.g. BEx Analyzer).

SAP GUI on 64bit platforms

There is no separate SAP GUI version for 64bit operating systems and SAP is

currently not planning to release such a version. However you can use the

standard SAP GUI for Windows 32bit version on the 64bit operating systems

(given you are using the SAP GUI versions, operating system versions and

hardware specified in the list above).

SAP GUI will not be supported on Itanium (IA64) systems.

Unfortunately not everything works (e. g. BEx).

According to SAP note 1442028 MS Office 2010 64 Bit will not be supported with SAPGUI 7.20.
