Create new material status

In the Sales Data tab of the material master, in the "Satus" sub-tab there are multiple satuses for different grid values (we use AFS).

For example:

Status 1 = Disc/Stock Remaining

Status 2 = Disc/No Stock

These are listed as "Distribution-chain-specific material status"

Where in SAP can I create a new status? Where can I create a custom "Z" status?

It unfortunately does not help.

Under SPRO --> Logistics-General --> Material Master --> Retail-Specific Settings --> Settings for Key Fields --> Material Status for Retail Functions

This gives me a list of individual material statuses. There does not appear to be a way to create a new status on this page. How can I create a new one?

Hi,

Go to path SPRO->Logistics-General --> Material Master->Settings for key fields->data relevant to sales and distribution->define sales statuses.

Here you can add the data.

How would I configure the status so that no purchase orders can be placed for any material given that status?
