Edit checked out file from shared directory

Hi,

Please look into the item below.

We are using kpro to store documents in SAP.If a user checks out a document into a shared local directory, the other user is able to edit the original and check it in.

Is the feature of not allowing other user to edit a checked out file and check it back in is available only when the file is checked out to a local directory of the user?

Is there any standard way to place a restriction that only the user who checks out will be able to check in the document even though the check out directory is shared?

Hi Prasad,

if you use the status type "Original processing status" you can make sure, that only one user can edit a DIR.

Hi Prasad,

The check in and check out soly depends on authorization given. You cab assign the roles as per requirement.
